  • Simon was a major part of the most extraordinary trip to South Africa we have ever been on. I was in need of photographic instruction, and little did I know that this was a small, but very important and necessary part of what Simon contributed to our trip. His experience as a ranger at Londolozi and other camps gave him the knowledge to communicate with our other rangers and drivers, which led to incredible sightings. We learned about tracking, animal and bird sounds, and alerts that then anticipated behaviors for great photographic opportunities. All the while, Simon opened up ways for me to capture these experiences in creative ways on safari and in post-production work. Simon's delightful personality engaged us in every way, and we were fortunate enough to extend our time with him from 6 to 9 days. We would have wanted him to continue with us to Botswana, but other professional commitments awaited him. Simon has the ability to suggest camps for specialized animal and bird sightings and his guidance will be part of our next extensive trip, already in the planning.
